Born in New Jersey in 1948 — a post-war baby who grew up in the Bronx, moved to LA, served during the Vietnam era, lived in Israel, earned a BA in Fine Arts and teaching credentials in Special Education. Had two children. Lived in Thailand for 3½ years. A San Franciscan for over 30 years.
